Amador Sánchez ha sido el profesional chileno revelación del último año en Estados Unidos. Ganador de 28 carreras -siete en 2020- y US$ 806.000 en premios, el joven trainer analizó su rendimiento en Miami y su dupla con Héctor Isaac Berríos:
«Estoy haciendo un trabajo bien sacrificado. Javiera, mi señora, me ha apoyado mucho y sin ella quizás ya estaría de vuelta en Chile. Con Héctor Berríos hemos hecho una gran dupla. Nuestras señoras se llevan muy bien y compartimos gran parte del día. Corrimos las Breeders’, pero un contratiempo importante nos privó pelear la carrera. La hípica norteamericana es muy desarrollada, pero el sacrificio es todo. Sigo la hípica chilena y trato de complementarla con lo aprendido allá».
Sánchez, quien presentó al Triplecoronado 2018 Cariblanco, elogió a su hermano Rodrigo: «Hoy soy lo que soy gracias a mi hermano Rodrigo. Es un gran preparador y me refugio en él cada vez que tengo una duda. Somos cuatro hermanos y siempre hemos tenido el apoyo de nuestros padres. Espero seguir recogiendo experiencia.
